Archaeologists from the Constanța History Museum have uncovered a Roman child sarcophagus in Flămânda, dating back to the 3rd-4th century. The sarcophagus was found intact, including iron seals and mortar. This discovery is part of a preventive excavation in the Great Necropolis of Ancient Tomis. The wooden coffin and floral garlands are well-preserved, along with typical burial toys like a rooster and a horse. Further analysis will be conducted to determine the materials used.
