Russia has firmly denied Romanian accusations of involvement in a sabotage operation linked to a fire at the Carfil industrial platform in Brașov. Ambassador Vladimir Lipaev stated that the claims are unfounded and lack evidence. He criticized Romania for blaming Russia without proof and suggested that the real threat comes from Ukraine and its allies. Lipaev also condemned Western nations for not addressing attacks on commercial vessels in the Black Sea. The Romanian Foreign Ministry had summoned Lipaev to express official protest regarding the incident, which they attribute to a hybrid war by Russia. Investigations have identified a sabotage network allegedly coordinated from Russia, with suspects arrested in Germany and Poland.
