Poland will host a European maintenance center for Patriot missiles, as announced by the U.S. Department of Defense. This center aims to enhance supply lines and reduce execution times. The decision was described as historic by Polish Deputy Defense Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, highlighting that Poland outperformed Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway in the selection process. The center will be the only one outside the U.S. and will rely on strong transatlantic industrial cooperation. The investment is estimated at around $253 million and will take several months to become operational.
