Romania has signed a contract to acquire four mobile radar systems for aircraft guidance, with the first system expected to be operational by 2028. The contract, valued at 326.5 million lei, involves Thales Romania and Thales Las France. These systems will enhance air operations' safety and efficiency, even in adverse weather conditions, and will integrate with national and NATO air command systems. The Defense Minister emphasized the importance of developing Romania's defense industry alongside military modernization, aiming for long-term benefits for the national economy.
