Bulgaria seeks continued support for rose cultivation and transitional national aid beyond 2027 within the EU's Common Agricultural Policy. Minister Plamen Abrovski raised these issues at a meeting in Luxembourg, emphasizing the need for stable funding and equitable payments among member states. He highlighted challenges such as reduced rose cultivation areas, low purchase prices, high production costs, and labor shortages. Additionally, Bulgaria called for better administrative support for small enterprises and financing for export cooperatives. The production of roses in Bulgaria increased by 31% in 2026 compared to the previous year.
