The Timișoara International Airport will be closed from November 2 to 22 for runway repairs. The last flights will depart on the morning of November 2. Maintenance work has been planned for years, but funding issues delayed action until now. During the closure, operations will shift to Arad Airport, with some airlines suspending flights. Wizz Air will continue limited operations from Arad, while Tarom and HiSky will maintain domestic connections. Passengers must arrange their own transport between airports, as no transfers will be provided. Parking at Arad has been expanded to accommodate increased passenger traffic.
