The Galați Municipality is currently developing a photovoltaic park in Tirighina, funded by a €25 million European project. The park will have a minimum installed capacity of 4 MW and will consist of 8,000 solar panels. It is expected to produce around 5,630 MWh of energy, which will contribute to public lighting needs. The project is being executed by a consortium and is set to be completed by summer next year.
