Starting November 1, 2026, new taxes will apply to online orders from outside the EU, including a 2 euro processing fee. Romania will also implement a national logistics tax of 25 lei per package from January 1, 2026. The European Commission has requested member states to eliminate such national taxes, but as of October 27, 2026, no official confirmation has been published regarding Romania's compliance.
