The Romanian Ministry of National Defense has signed a contract to acquire four mobile radar systems from Thales Romania for airspace surveillance. The contract, valued at approximately 326.5 million lei, aims to enhance the capabilities of the Romanian Air Force. Deliveries will occur in phases starting in 2028, with all systems expected by 2030. These radars will provide real-time data for both military and civilian aircraft, improving air traffic control even in challenging conditions. The acquisition highlights the industrial cooperation between Romania and France in defense technology.
