A piece of ceiling plaster fell in an ANL building in Dej, narrowly missing two children. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, but this is not the first incident of its kind. The ceiling collapse happened while the family was home, with the six-year-old boy and his cousin in the bedroom. Since the building's completion in 2024, similar incidents have occurred multiple times. Local authorities acknowledge construction issues but claim they did not select the contractor. An expert assessment requested two years ago revealed infiltration problems, which were reportedly addressed by the builder. The building, consisting of 60 apartments, cost 6 million euros.
