The radars will track aircraft in challenging conditions and can be used for both military and civilian aircraft. Their mobility allows for flexible deployment, reducing reliance on fixed infrastructure. The acquisition emphasizes Romanian-French cooperation in defense and aims to boost local technological expertise and industrial capacity. Thales will ensure the systems are cyber-secure and compliant with international aviation standards.
