The Ministry of Agriculture is revising support schemes for farmers impacted by fertilizer price increases. Aid will be disbursed in two installments, with extended deadlines for proving purchases. The new project outlines payment deadlines of December 31, 2026, for EU funds and May 31, 2027, for state budget funds. Farmers can justify fertilizer purchases until October 30, 2026. The aid amounts remain unchanged across nine crop categories, with a total budget of 314 million lei. Eligible producers include individuals, firms, cooperatives, and research institutions, all required to register with APIA and submit proof of fertilizer purchases.
