The Romanian Ministry of National Defense has signed a contract for four mobile radar systems to enhance air traffic control capabilities. The contract, valued at approximately 326.5 million lei, will see deliveries starting in 2028. These systems will improve the identification and tracking of aircraft in challenging conditions and will be usable for both military and civilian aircraft. The mobile nature of the systems allows for flexible deployment, reducing reliance on fixed airbase infrastructure. This acquisition is part of a broader modernization effort for the Romanian Air Force and highlights Romanian-French industrial cooperation in defense.
