Sibiu plans to enhance urban spaces with a pedestrian corridor, a riverside promenade, and the restoration of historical fortifications, pending local council approval. The city aims to revitalize the area between the train station and Sub Arini Park, with projects set for funding through the Regiunea Centru program. The first project focuses on creating a pedestrian and cycling corridor from the train station to the historic center, improving public spaces and safety. The second project involves a 1.8 km riverside promenade with recreational areas and eco-friendly lighting. The third project aims to restore the Haller Bastion and Cazarma 90, preserving historical integrity while enhancing visibility through architectural lighting.
