Recent snowfalls have transformed Romania's high mountain areas into winter landscapes, with significant snow accumulation at higher altitudes. While lower regions experience rain, the mountains see temperatures drop below freezing and snow layers exceeding 30 centimeters. In the Bucegi Mountains, temperatures reached -5 degrees Celsius, and snow cover is substantial. The Postăvaru Massif also received snow, creating a winter-like scenery. Snow removal teams are active on the Transfăgărășan road due to weather conditions, urging drivers to use winter-equipped vehicles to ensure safety.
