American actor Noah Wyle, famous for his role as Dr. John Carter in "ER", has been named "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine for 2026. Initially surprised, Wyle thought the news was a joke. This recognition comes as he returns to the spotlight in the successful series "The Pitt", where he plays a doctor. Wyle's portrayal of John Carter in "ER" earned him multiple Emmy nominations. The title follows a humorous suggestion from his former co-star George Clooney earlier this year. Wyle's career is experiencing a resurgence, marking over three decades since his debut in "ER".
