The opening of Section 4 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway relies on final tunnel tests and the completion of the exit to DN73G. The director of CNAIR, Cristian Pistol, confirmed that monitoring systems in the Momaia tunnel are being tested. Over 2,500 monitoring points are installed to ensure safety. The physical progress of the exit to DN73C has surpassed 80%. The final tests with ISU are scheduled for late November, and all safety conditions must be met before opening. The section was built by the Austrian company PORR, costing 1.678 billion lei without VAT, allowing traffic on 54 kilometers of the highway after opening.
