Construction is underway for the new CFR Progresu train station in Sector 4 of Bucharest, following the demolition of the old building as part of a modernization project. The project, valued at over 2.1 billion lei, is being executed by RailWorks, a partnership between Arcada Company and Alstom Transport. As of October 13, physical progress on the railway reached 19%, with design work completed. The new station will serve both the Bucharest Progresu-Giurgiu railway line and Metro Line 4, enhancing transport efficiency. The overall project includes extensive upgrades to the railway infrastructure, electrification, and modern signaling systems, aiming for completion by September 2028.
