A man from Argeș sold 75 second-hand cars worth over 7.2 million lei without declaring his activity to the tax authorities. ANAF discovered the fraud during an investigation, calculating a tax loss of over 1.1 million lei. The individual operated for nearly three years, buying cars from Romania and abroad, often using documents with names of other individuals or companies as sellers. Some transactions involved 'missing trader' companies, and in other cases, documents were manually filled with incorrect seller information. ANAF plans to refer the case to criminal prosecution due to the identified losses.
