The National Institute for Earth Physics reported two earthquakes in the Vrancea seismic zone, with depths of 79.5 km and 120.2 km. The first quake occurred at 01:53:55 with a magnitude of 2.3, while the second, stronger quake, happened at 05:42:56 with a magnitude of 3.1. Both earthquakes were felt near several cities, including Focșani and Buzău. A previous earthquake of magnitude 4.8 was recorded over a week ago, affecting areas in Romania and neighboring countries.
