A painting by Nicolae Grigorescu is valued at only 3.5 lei in the Ploiești Art Museum's records, highlighting outdated evaluations. The museum's director noted that many artworks have not been reassessed for decades due to financial constraints. Reevaluation requires accredited experts, which can cost tens of thousands of euros per piece, a sum the museum lacks. Currently, ticket sales cover only 10% of the institution's needs, leaving many valuable artworks undervalued.
