New shelters for stray cats have been established in Arad, providing them with protection from harsh weather. The initiative aims to improve the care and management of these animals. Homeowners' associations can request a shelter from the municipality with the consent of a majority of residents. Many locals appreciate the presence of cats, noting their role in controlling pests. The municipality has installed 20 shelters so far, with plans for more in the future.
