On October 25, 2026, Metropolitan Laurențiu emphasized the struggle against evil during a service at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Sibiu. The event, attended by many believers, included the Divine Liturgy led by Laurențiu and a choir performance. In his sermon, he discussed the Gospel's message about the healing of a demon-possessed man, highlighting the devil as humanity's greatest enemy. He explained that demons recognize Christ's divinity and fear Him, while also illustrating the torment faced by the possessed individual. Many attendees received Holy Communion and were blessed by the Metropolitan at the end of the service.
