Traffic on Transalpina has been closed since 6 PM due to snowfall and adverse weather conditions. The closure affects the mountainous section of DN 67C between Rânca and Obârșia Lotrului. Authorities cannot predict when the road will reopen, and it may remain closed until spring 2027 if weather worsens. Prior to the closure, snow removal efforts were made, but conditions deteriorated rapidly. The decision was made to ensure safety, and no maintenance will occur during the closure. Previously, traffic was allowed only during the day, but now it is halted entirely until conditions improve.
