The opening of the A0 Nord highway sections between Afumați, Pantelimon, and Cernica has been postponed until the end of the year, despite previous announcements. The Ilfov County Council stated that the completion of nearly 13 km of highway is expected to ease traffic in the Ilfov-Bucharest area. Former Transport Secretary Horațiu Cosma criticized the delay, attributing it to political motives and accusing CNAIR of not finishing the necessary work. The highway is intended to connect eastern localities with major highways, improving travel times for many families. Cosma expressed frustration over the political handling of infrastructure projects in Romania.
