The Bucharest City Hall has accelerated or unblocked 12 infrastructure projects, including the Basarab Passage and the modernization of Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard. These projects had previously stalled due to funding issues and bureaucratic challenges. The Basarab Passage is expected to be completed by the end of this year, while the Prelungirea Ghencea project is set for completion in 2028. Other initiatives include modernizing tram tracks and upgrading public transport facilities. The total funding for these projects amounts to 7.1 billion lei, with significant portions coming from non-repayable funds. The City Hall also plans new investments alongside these accelerated projects.
