For the 28th consecutive night, around 200 people gathered outside the Central Arrest in the Capital to support Călin Georgescu, who was arrested in a fraud case. The crowd chanted slogans and displayed Romanian flags and banners. The Bucharest Tribunal decided to release Georgescu after 30 days in custody, although the decision can be contested by prosecutors. He will remain under judicial control while being investigated for forming an organized criminal group and committing serious fraud. The case was initiated after a businessman claimed to have lost 1.1 million euros due to a promised funding scheme.
