The Romanian Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced measures to ensure a steady supply of medications in hospitals. He emphasized the need for collaboration with pharmaceutical producers and distributors to prevent shortages. Weekly reporting of medication consumption and stock levels will be implemented, focusing on critical areas such as oncology and cardiovascular diseases. Increasing national stockpiles of essential medications is also a priority to facilitate quick redistribution among hospitals. Rogobete stressed that patients should not have to search multiple hospitals for their medications and thanked industry stakeholders for their cooperation in addressing these challenges.
