The Ukrainian Parliament has approved President Zelensky's proposals to extend martial law and general mobilization for an additional 90 days. A total of 293 deputies supported the extension of martial law, while 281 voted for the mobilization extension. The current martial law and mobilization are effective until October 31, 2026, and the new extension will last until January 29, 2027. Zelensky emphasized that the war with Russia will not conclude without effective security guarantees for Ukraine, making it impossible to lift martial law until then. Martial law and mobilization have been in place since February 24, 2022.
