The European Commission has approved Temu's action plan to comply with the Digital Services Act and tackle illegal product availability online. The plan includes five measures to address violations and involves a specific risk analysis for the platform. Temu will assess the effectiveness of its mitigation measures and the limitations of its content moderation actions. Additionally, the platform will investigate how its recommendation systems may contribute to the spread of illegal goods. Temu has four months to conduct an interim risk assessment, with a deadline of November 30, 2026, to implement the action plan measures. This plan follows a non-compliance decision from May 2026, which resulted in a €200 million fine for Temu.
