The Ministry of Agriculture is revising the emergency financial support rules for farmers affected by drought in 2025. Identified technical and procedural gaps during application processing may lead to incorrect aid calculations. A public debate on the proposed changes to Government Decision 751/2026 is underway. The new formula for calculating aid will be based on verified areas by APIA, ensuring objective assessments. Farmers who have already submitted applications will retain their eligibility without needing to reapply. The changes aim to clarify definitions and improve the calculation process without increasing the budget for the scheme. The project is currently in the decision-making transparency phase.
