The Finance Minister, Alexandru Nazare, clarified that there are no plans to implement property tax based on market value in 2027. He emphasized that this concern is unfounded and reiterated that the decision to tax based on market value was previously addressed in a 2022 ordinance. Nazare mentioned that negotiations with the European Commission led to the removal of this requirement from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). He assured that the current property tax system, which adjusts for inflation, will remain in place for the upcoming year, dismissing public fears about potential changes.
