Amazon Web Services (AWS) has nearly all its computing capacity contracted until the end of 2027, driven by rising demand for AI infrastructure. CEO Andy Jassy noted challenges in meeting the high demand from AI developers and corporate clients. Significant portions of capacity for 2028 are already reserved. AWS plans to invest around $220 billion by 2026 to expand its technology infrastructure. Jassy indicated that further investments may be necessary due to demand exceeding current supply capabilities. AWS provides computing infrastructure for companies, including virtual servers and AI model access through its Bedrock platform. Amazon will release its Q3 financial results on October 29, allowing investors to assess AWS revenue trends and the impact of these investments.
