Chinese group SANY is expanding its investments in Romania by fully acquiring Spark Terminal SRL, which is developing a 153 MW battery energy storage project in Borzești. This acquisition is part of SANY's broader strategy to invest over one billion euros in renewable energy, storage, and digital infrastructure in Romania. The company plans to develop two photovoltaic parks and a data center near Timișoara, collaborating with local investors. Additionally, SANY is considering establishing a production facility in Ghimbav for construction machinery assembly, with plans for future expansion.
