Călin Georgescu will appear in court on Monday for a hearing regarding the extension of his preventive arrest related to a fraud case involving 1.1 million euros. He has been in custody since September 29. A previous decision to replace his preventive arrest with house arrest was overturned by the Court of Appeal. Georgescu allegedly deceived businessman Răzvan Leu into paying a guarantee for a non-existent loan involving precious metals. Following his arrest, he faces additional charges, including soliciting someone to scan his villa for surveillance devices and making a fascist salute while under judicial control.
