The economic director of Uzina Mecanică Plopeni, Liliana Stroescu, provided detailed testimony regarding bribery involving her superior, Tiberiu Pîrvu. She described how money was delivered in envelopes from businessman Vasile Brașoveanu, with Pîrvu instructing her on how to handle the funds. Stroescu recounted multiple instances of receiving cash, including significant amounts, and shared that Pîrvu had a meticulous approach to avoid leaving fingerprints. Pîrvu has since entered a plea agreement acknowledging his involvement in corruption, resulting in a suspended sentence and community service. The case is still pending judicial review at Tribunalul Prahova.
