The Herăstrău Lake area has transformed into a lush delta-like environment, replacing the unpleasant mud that was visible earlier this summer. This change has attracted various wild plants and rare bird species, delighting visitors who now enjoy a more pleasant atmosphere. Although the lake was drained by the city hall, leading to initial disappointment, the ongoing restoration efforts aim to enhance the park's green spaces and facilities. The first phase of modernization will take about a year and includes work on the lake's basin, with future plans for further improvements in the surrounding areas.
