In Serbia, the opposition group Lista Studenţilor has won the anticipated elections, securing between 135 and 140 mandates. President Aleksandar Vucic acknowledged the loss, stating his party will hold 105 seats. These elections followed nearly two years of protests led by students against corruption and authoritarianism, sparked by a tragic incident in 2024. The student movement has emerged as a significant political threat to Vucic since he took office in 2014.
