Germany will participate in the first military exercise of the Ukraine Defense Coalition, contributing personnel, refueling aircraft, and logistical support. The exercise is set to take place in Poland, Romania's airspace, and the western Black Sea. The German military will provide around 10 staff officers and up to two A400M transport aircraft for in-flight refueling. This participation is seen as a sign of unity with partners. The exercise aims to assess the operational readiness of the multinational force led by France and the UK, with an estimated 1,500 soldiers expected to join from various nations, although this number remains unconfirmed. The coalition was established in December during a summit in Berlin, involving around 35 countries.
