In September 2026, the number of Romanians receiving service pensions slightly increased to 12,003, with former judges and prosecutors making up the majority. The average service pension for this group was reported at 25,682 lei. Other beneficiaries included former diplomats, public officials, and civil aviation personnel, each with varying average pensions. Overall, 7,934 recipients also received a contributory component from the state budget.
