Audi plans to invest $4 billion to establish its first factory in the U.S., located in Georgia, aiming for an annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles by the early 2030s. The factory will employ around 4,500 people and is part of Audi's strategy to strengthen its presence in the North American premium market. This investment reflects a long-term commitment to the U.S. and positions North America as a key production hub alongside Europe and China. However, Audi has recently lowered its profit forecasts due to economic uncertainties and declining sales in the U.S. and China, while Volkswagen is also planning to freeze salaries until 2030 to cut costs.
