The construction of the Sibiu–Făgăraș highway is progressing, with physical completion rates between 28.01% and 53.49% across its four sections. The project is set for completion in 2028, as announced by Cristian Pistol from CNAIR. Notable works include the installation of a metal arch bridge on section 3, which is 72% complete. Two additional complex metal arch bridges are also under construction on this section. A total of 558 workers and 182 machines are currently mobilized on site. Overall, the highway will span 68 kilometers and is crucial for connecting Transylvania with Muntenia and Moldova, enhancing economic development in the region.
