The president of the electoral commission in Izgrev was dismissed after being reported for suspected alcohol influence during voting duties. The Burgas Regional Electoral Commission conducted an inspection following a complaint and found the president behaving inappropriately and showing disinterest in the electoral process. He had also brought alcohol into the polling station. During questioning, his speech was unclear, leading to his dismissal and the annulment of his certification. A new president and vice-president were appointed in his place.
