Audi plans to invest $4 billion to establish its first U.S. factory in Georgia, aiming for an annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles by the early 2030s. This move is part of Audi's strategy to strengthen its presence in the North American premium market. The factory will employ around 4,500 people and is set to begin construction in 2027. Despite this expansion, Audi has revised its profit forecasts downward due to economic uncertainties and declining sales in the U.S. and China. Volkswagen Group is also planning to freeze salaries until 2030 as part of cost-cutting measures.
