Ukraine and Russia have agreed on a temporary ceasefire in Oleșki on October 27 to facilitate humanitarian aid delivery and civilian evacuation. The ceasefire will begin at 03:00 Kyiv time and 04:00 Moscow time, as confirmed by Ukrainian ombudsman Dmitro Lubineț after discussions with Russian negotiator Iana Lantratova. The operation aims to assist approximately 1,700 civilians trapped under Russian occupation since early 2022, amid severe conditions including lack of food and medical supplies. The humanitarian corridor will allow for food and medicine delivery, with the operation planned in stages due to significant risks. Lubineț expressed gratitude to the U.S. First Lady and her diplomatic team for their support in negotiations.
