In the last 24 hours, nearly 95,000 people crossed Romania's border, with authorities reporting 82 illegal acts and fines exceeding 29,226 lei. The border police processed around 95,600 individuals and over 15,800 vehicles, focusing on entries and exits from Romania's external borders. Since the conflict began, over 16.2 million Ukrainians have entered Romania. The police conducted over 16,700 checks using the eDAC application, as systematic border controls will be eliminated in 2025. Authorities identified 82 illegal acts, including 31 crimes and 51 contraventions, confiscating goods worth approximately 225,200 lei. Additionally, 26 foreign citizens were denied entry, and 16 Romanians were barred from leaving the country for legal reasons.
