The Romanian government has announced urgent measures to combat violence in schools following recent incidents. These include increasing security personnel, enhancing psychological support, and imposing stricter penalties for violence. Prime Minister Luca Niculescu emphasized the need for child protection in educational institutions. The plan involves hiring additional security staff and training teachers to identify aggressive behaviors. Legislative changes are also planned to strengthen penalties for school violence and regulate prohibited items. A national campaign will be launched to discourage violence in schools, and the National Plan for Violence Prevention will be revised in collaboration with educational organizations.
