The modernization works on Alcala de Henares street in Alba Iulia have been completed and received by the municipality, with an investment of 9.5 million lei. The project includes new road surfaces, road markings, sidewalks, and bike lanes, as well as modern public lighting and stormwater drainage systems. The aim is to alleviate traffic congestion between Alba Iulia and the Micești neighborhood. The project began in summer 2023, following a public procurement process initiated in November 2022. Half of the electrical network costs are covered by Electrica, while the other half comes from the local budget.
