The book "Gorjul in the Official Bulletin of the Romanian Country from 1858" by Cristi Șelaru was launched on October 23, 2026, at the Christian Tell County Library in Târgu Jiu. It presents historical information about Gorj County from nearly 170 years ago, focusing on administrative, economic, legal, and social aspects. The volume includes electoral lists and details about properties, incomes, and voting rights. The author, while researching Romanian statistical history, discovered valuable documents in the Academy Library, leading to this publication. The launch event coincided with the 162nd anniversary of the Gorj County Council, attended by local officials and community leaders.
