North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made a surprise visit to China, crossing a newly opened bridge and meeting with a senior Chinese official. During his one-day trip, he visited key sites in Dandong and discussed strengthening bilateral relations. This visit coincided with the anniversary of China's entry into the Korean War and included a visit to a war monument. Kim expressed readiness to collaborate with China to enhance their historical friendship. The visit follows recent tensions between China and North Korea due to UN sanctions and reflects Kim's strategy to align with Beijing and Moscow against the United States.
